Anonymous travelers now seem to get a flash popup, where they need to click OK before they get a room. So that just killed every automated (or even semi-automated) visitor where the person either doesn't see the window to click or just opens tons of tabs at a time and closes them without clicking on the OK.
3-5 star rooms don't work for anonymous travelers at all now, I get a message "no (free) room available" or something like that.
Personally, if I can't use idarionis and proxies to fill my hotels - I'm leaving this game.
I've never used Hydra all the time and too constantly fill my hotel. Always have done a mix of Helping others with thier hotels with the hopes they would return the favor, which most have. Plus some good forum ads and any use of the game to help promote my hotel ...
That and a few times a week using hydra to help out and not always over-using it to fill every room so i have to do nothing. In other words, I have always tried to use a fair mix of all options .. BUT if the hydra system has been blocked from any use around here .. I think i'm done with this game myself too.
I just don't have enough places to keep a link active for all outside help, nor do i have the time or intrest for all the forums, blogs, and whatever it would take to keep a good number of links on to "maybe" see some results here on this game.
Let's wait and see how things are after the reset of this game, but if the impossibility to make visits from Hydra does not change I may as well stop too. The 6 visits a day I can do (due to my limited time at home to click more) are not enough to turn my hotel into a prosperous one :(
I'm with you, gilraen, Randall and Filmore, it's impossible to fill a 15 story hotel with 6 rooms to a floor for a total of 90 rooms without Hydra or similar games/programs.
Will this change? Hard to tell, we can't even get a response from the owner of this game.

Hey, if i can't use hydra(along with my other options) anymore i suggest a new format where i can at least have unlimited visits to use for getting rooms at other hotels at least ......
I mean that way i could visit lots of hotels and in return gather more courtesy visits to mine. Sounds fair enough i think.
Like i said before, i would like to continue my game, but not at the expence of having to find hundreads of blogs, forums and places all over the internet to attach a link and then hope somebody clicks it. Most of that kind of crap does not intrest me at all.
I use Hydra for other click sites but not for Yer Hotel. In fact, I'm running Hydra at the moment to keep my DragonAdopters dragons happy with visits.
But Hydra opens three windows at a time and each window only stays open for ten seconds. Users tend to set it running and it automatically works its way through (up to) 600 visits in the background without any input. So visitors rarely have time to actually click on the 'visit this hotel' button before the window changes to a different site.
Yarrolds is usable but it's a right royal pain in the b*tt to have to hang around clicking and waiting for links to click :-(
Likewise, Utopia click exchange doesn't give visitors any time to actually click on the 'visit this hotel' button, especially if you're using SuperMode. It can work its way through 2000+ links in a short space of time but you don't even see any open window to click a link. It is simply a click exchange site - nothing else.
So, unless a click exchange site allows visitors enough time to click (and the visitor actually understands and cares enough TO click) it's useless for Yer Hotel which requires the visitor to actually DO something to give the hotel owner the benefit of the click.
I'm happy to be on record as not agreeing with the use of proxies on Yer Hotel because I believe it amounts to cheating and is a lazy way to fill hotels without bothering to interact with other users and visit other hotels.
Personally, I feel that upping the number of visits each hotel owner can do in 24 hours would be a good option. Theoretically, each owner can make twelve visits in 24 hours but, in practice, I rarely manage more than six because two of those 'visit windows' are during the night and I'm asleep rather than visiting Yer Hotels.
Perhaps if each owner was allowed twelve visits in ANY 24 hour period, they could use their twelve visits during the day (their time zone) and not have to forgo visits that can be made during the night when they're asleep?
Once they've done their twelve visits, they can't make any more until the 24 hour period is up. So they have the option of doing twelve visits in an hour or spacing them out during the day. Much fairer, I think:-)
also agree on use of proxies. now for 1 and 2 star i think we should still be able to use click exchange sites without the block of user input to get into the room.
just reset the whole game everyone start new and we go from there..
it will be a race to see whos comes out on top,now that most of us know what we are doing!!eh
Sounds like anyone with more than one hotel will have the extra ones deleted at some point.
Also sounds like proxies are a thing of the past 'but' they are still around, at least for the moment, if you know what you're doing (I'm not one of them, lol.)
Being able to use Hydra is better... I really don't like the having to click thing because no-one I know will click on my links, so my hotel's probably gonna fall to pieces and yeah.
I agree about Hydra since it only works on the small rooms and anyone with a hotel full of them, 90 to be exact, can't possibly get that many visitors any other way. I sold all the rooms on my second hotel since it was costing me a bundle every day for room upkeep.
Visits from link exchange sites are the only way for lots of people to still make a profit (and I really dont know any person who has loads of friends who are willing to go onto their hotel everyday) so...
Not to mention that the "Visit" window is buggy as hell, half the time it doesn't work, either throws an error, doesn't load the page, or gets caught in a loop. Whatever. I'm done. It'll take too much time to demolish the rooms, so I'm just leaving my hotel up and letting it run into as much debt as the site will allow before disabling my account. Bye everyone, it's been a pleasure.
You can add another one to the list of those that want Hdyra use restored.
Like others already stated, if this is not resolved soon, I will also be done with this game.
Sorry, but 12 visits a day just plain doesn't cut it, and unless you own/run your own Forum or something, Signature options aren't very helpful to generate more visits.
Yarrold's is just too rediculously costly, and Utopia won't even support links when there's pop-ups or other verification-type programs in use....so Hydra is/was the only main worthwhile one to use.
If this doesn't get changed, then all I can say is....Bye.
