We've been down for an unbelievably long time (something around 36 hours). The company that hosts our server has been hacked. The incident was really serious, an estimated 100000 sites were taken down. You can read more in The Register or in this enormous forum thread at webhostingtalk.com.

I've routed the domain to our development server to at least show some status page, but as soon as I've done this, the host has taken down even untouched servers just to make sure hackers won't strike again before security issues are resolved.

We're good for now.

thanks for getting us back up again

are we able to donate, to maybe help with costing etc, and maybe get a couple of extra daily visits out of it as well

13 is low when you get 20+ visitors, lol, evening up is hard to do

Same problem here. 13's a bit low, only 1 more than the original. Use them all to return visits and still fall behind by 5-8 visits every day. Seems like this should still be bumped up just a tad.

Noted in bugs also, seems to be a problem w/ Dry guests. No New ones have visited for last 16 hours, even though marketing settings have remained unchanged (same still now, as before web host problem). Normally there should be at least a couple dozen or more thru the day....but so far NONE since 16 hours ago, as of this time.

Solrayne: it's very likely that the downtime caused this... let's wait another 24 hours and then start to worry.

Ok, no problem. Mostly just wanted to make sure that the Dry Guest problem was noticed, so it could be kept track of, in case it becomes an ongoing problem.

Ok, the Dry guests just started to come back again now. Looks like it was just a long delay from the site mess.

you see before all the updates, when someone clicked on your link it would direct them into a room with out the need to click on visit thsu making hydra a very useful tool. The problem with the click to visit is that on hydra alot of people just run auto visitor and do not click on the links etc..
